Taylor & Francis is delighted to announce that Steven A. Seifert, MD will be the new Editor-in-Chief of Clinical Toxicology for 2017. Steven Seifert replaces Dr Martin Caravati, whose astute editorship has seen the journal grow significantly in stature over the past 5 years.
Steven Seifert writes:
I am thrilled to be appointed as Editor-In-Chief of Clinical Toxicology. Reading Clinical Toxicology was an inspiration in my early academic career and it has remained my primary source for quality, relevant, and current scientific information in the field. I look forward to maintaining and enhancing the journal’s value to the members of its sponsoring organizations, the larger scientific community, and the world at-large.
Steven A. Seifert, MD, FAACT, FACMT, is a Professor at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and Medical Director of the New Mexico Poison Center. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (UCCOM) and completed a Fellowship in Medical Toxicology at the University of Colorado. He most recently served Clinical Toxicology as an Associate Editor. Among other accomplishments: He was elected to the Board of Directors of the American Association of Poison Control Centers; elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology; and served as a session chair for the Congress of the European Association of Poison Centres and Clinical Toxicologists. In 2011, he received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the UCCOM. He has published over 200 scholarly works. He also plays jazz on the tenor saxophone.
Clinical Toxicology publishes peer-reviewed scientific research and clinical advances in clinical toxicology.
