The Alan Turing Article Collection

Amongst Alan Turing's many achievements, he has been credited as one of the fathers of modern computer science. During World War II, he and his team of code breakers at Bletchley Park developed various techniques for breaking German ciphers, and also continued the work of Polish cryptologists Marian Rejewski, Jerzy Różycki and Henryk Zygalski which first cracked the Enigma cipher as early as in 1932. These efforts significantly shortened the war, saving thousands of lives in the process.

The Imitation Game, a dramatic portrayal of Alan Turing's life and work directed by Morten Tyldum and starring Benedict Cumberbatch, is coming to cinema screens this month.

In celebration of his genius, we have compiled The Alan Turing Article Collection – giving you the chance to read some of Alan Turing's work, and the recently published related works of others.
