The Editorial team of Higher Education Research & Development is calling for Expressions of Interest in a newly established voluntary position for a co-editor (social media engagement). The position will suit someone who has broad experience in effectively using a range of social media platforms including for example, Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, ResearchGate and YouTube in academic contexts, and who is actively engaged in educational research. Previous editorial experience with a journal would be an advantage.
The appointee will be responsible for: developing and implementing an effective communications strategy for the journal in consultation with the rest of the editorial team; monitoring the impact of communications; and, actively engaging with social media on behalf of the journal.
As one of the journal’s five co-editors, the appointee will also be a committed team member, attending regular virtual meetings (approximately 8 per year) and if possible, our annual face to face meeting (usually held over two days in an Australian city).
The term of appointment is initially until December 2019, when the contract for the current editorial team ends.
