Asia Pacific Journal of Counselling and Psychotherapy

This virtual special issue comprises selected papers from the previous issues of the Asia Pacific Journal of Counselling and Psychotherapy (APJCP). The APJCP aims to publish quality psychotherapy related research studies and evidence-based practice report in counselling and psychotherapy.

The selected papers address working alliance in psychotherapy, attachment issue on counselling, evidence-based counselling programmes for caregivers of children or adults with intellectual disability, and indigenous psychotherapy practice such as Buddhist ontology focused meditation. Among the selected papers, some are using factorial analysis to validate a standard psychological scale, the others are doing pre- and post-test or quasi-experiment to explore the effectiveness of the counselling or psychotherapy practice.
