Key Themes in Anthropology: Health

Health is a core tenant of the human experience, it impacts almost every aspect of daily lives regardless of nation or culture, with each society and culture having their own views and approaches to medicine, death and the management and promotion of the health of its members.

Because of the profound impact health can have on cultures and societies we are dedicating part two of our Key Themes in Anthropology collection to the research surrounding health and medicine. This unique collection evaluates all aspects of health from the use of Ayurvedic medicine, the culture of childbearing in Aboriginal Australia to the unique Anthropological relationship between animals and humans and the wide ranging impact this can have on human health.
