Editors’ choice: most valued articles in Volume 23 The European Journal of General Practice

The European Journal of General Practice

In 2017, the European Journal of General Practice published 40 articles, including four editorials. The editors made up their minds and each picked three papers, which they found most valuable. The 15 articles listed in the Table, were mentioned by at least one editor.  This year’s ‘winner’, the article by Goranka Petriček and her colleagues from Croatia, was in the Top-3 of five editors. It tells us how patients adapt their lives after having experienced a myocardial infarction and how general practitioners can support this process by patient centred consultations. The other ‘platinum’ articles were mentioned by two editors, with at least one  number one position.
