Editor's Choice Collection Journal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene

Journal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene

Editor’s Choice articles from the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene (JOEH) are available free-of-charge until the end of May, 2018. JOEH publishes papers on the effectiveness of disinfection procedures to prevent the transmission of pathogens.

Inspired by this winter’s record-breaking flu season, Editor in Chief T. Renee Anthony has selected a collection of articles pertaining to decontamination and disinfection effectiveness. She chose these particular papers due to their high quality and contributions to the field.

The following selection includes a brand new article in which CDC/NIOSH authors recommend specific precautions when implementing an ultraviolet germicidal irradiation disinfection program for ambulances. These precautions include the importance of positioning irradiation units, monitoring appropriate UV exposure times, and identifying surface reflectivity throughout an ambulance’s patient compartments.
