Journal of Operational Oceanography is a high-quality, specialized publication that covers a broad spectrum of topics. The journal is published in partnership with the IMarEST and Taylor & Francis and has seen a recent rise in popularity reflected in the increased number of submissions and Impact Factor. We are looking for Associate Editors with an academic background in oceanographic research, in particular related to ocean observations, forecasting and modelling and end-user benefits of oceanographic products and services, and the passion to drive the journal forward in an exciting period of change.
The successful candidate will be responsible for employing the Journal’s online submission and peer review system, Editorial Manager™ to choose appropriate reviewers for each manuscript and make a decision recommendation to the Editor-in-Chief. He or she will also ensure that reviewers and authors adhere to the Journal’s Code of Publishing Ethics.
Taylor & Francis & IMarEST will provide remuneration for the role to cover journal-related expenses, full Editorial Manager™ training and administrative support. There will also be regular editorial meetings to reflect on the performance of the Journal.
