Plant-Microbial Special Issue Journal of Plant Interactions

Journal of Plant Interactions

This special section of Journal of Plant Interactions is dedicated to plant-microbial interactions. Plants and microbes can have a variety of interactions including pathogenic, symbiotic and associative – all of which impact plant productivity, stress tolerance and disease resistance. This topic has received increasing attention in the last few decades - continued advances in our knowledge of these interactions will enable us to overcome negative environmental factors and to capitalize on beneficial relationships to enhance plant productivity. This special section highlights recent research papers on this topic, with particular reference to:

Plant-fungi interactions: including Mycorrhizae, Endophytes, Pathogenic fungi and Fungal Plant Stimulants

Plant-bacterial interactions: with papers covering subjects such as Microbial Volatile Organic Compounds, Bacterial Endophytes, Plant Growth Producing Rhizobacteria, Bacterial Pathogens, Bacterial N-fixation, Phytoplasmas and Microbe-Associated Molecular Patterns.

Plant-microorganism interactions: with a special focus on Host-immunity and beneficial microorganisms, Bioremediation, Rhizoremediation and Phytostimulation’
