Journal of Visual Communication in Medicine 2017 Mentoring Programme

Journal of Visual Communication in Medicine

We are delighted to announce a new mentoring programme for Journal of Visual Communication in Medicine, starting in autumn 2017.

The editors of Journal of Visual Communication in Medicine will consider applicants to work on developing a manuscript based on original research for publication in the journal.

After the mentoring period (usually around 6 months), the manuscript will be subject to the regular peer-review process. The scheme will operate on a competitive basis.

Eligibility: applicants can be from any national domain but must either be currently studying on a relevant course, or have graduated from one within the last 12 months.

Applicants should supply a one-page CV, the names of two academic referees, a 400-word abstract for a planned article, and a writing sample (this can be in the form of 5pp project summary, a draft of the proposed article, or a previous publication). Applications should be emailed to

Selection process: the successful applicants will be selected by the Editor-in-Chief based on the quality and originality of the proposed article, the quality of the writing sample and the suitability of the topic for publication in Journal of Visual Communication in Medicine.
