Big Earth Data Special Issue Call for Papers

Geospatial Modelling and Visualization

Big Earth Data

Big geospatial data sets are available in various forms; and contain significant amount of useful information that need to be detected, retrieved, visualized, and processed. Recent advancements in big data and machine learning open new doors to such problems that deal with big geospatial datasets. At the Big Earth Data, we have considered a special issue, “Geospatial Modeling and Visualization”, to particularly target the recent research performed on analysis, modeling, visualization, and representation of geospatial datasets. The Big Earth Data is jointly published by the International Society for Digital Earth, Taylor & Francis Group and other partners as a sister journal of the International Journal of Digital Earth.

The editorial team of the Big Earth Data invites full-length paper submissions of original research and recent studies focusing on geospatial modeling and visualization. Topics include but not limited to:

  • Machine learning for geospatial datasets
  • Geospatial object detection and recognition
  • Geospatial data analysis
  • Geospatial data structures and indexing methods
  • Geospatial data visualization
  • Geospatial data understanding and interaction
  • Content creation for geospatial systems
  • Discrete Global Grid Systems
  • Rendering and visualization of large geospatial data sets

Accepted papers are peer-reviewed and published in a special issue of the Big Earth Data.
