Celebrating over 20 years of publication, International Journal of Logistics Research and Applications is organising a 2-day winter camp at Chongqing University in China on 12 & 13 January 2019. This event is co-hosted by the co-editors-in-chief, Prof Andrew Lyons and Prof Ming K Lim, and is particularly catered for early to mid-career, outstanding academics in the fields of logistics and supply chain research, and within the current remits of the journal.
During this camp, a series of brainstorming workshops and presentations will be held and the participants will:
- Share with their recent exciting research work;
- Explore the current “red-hot” topics and trends within the fields;
- Take part in groups to discuss the topics and scopes for the Journal’s next round of special issues and be the guest editors; and
- Explore collaboration opportunities
We encourage elite researchers around the World to submit their extended abstracts (no more than 1000 words), along with their CVs, to Prof Andrew Lyons (A.C.Lyons@liverpool.ac.uk) or Prof Ming K Lim (firstname.lastname@example.org), by 31 August 2018.
Following the winter camp we will select outstanding participants to submit their full papers to our Special Issue.
In addition, during the event we will identify potential candidates to submit their proposals for the appointment of our subject/regional associate editors and editorial board members.
We are expecting to select 15-18 participants. There is no event fee to pay. Return domestic flights within China to Chongqing and 2 nights’ accommodation will be provided to successful applicants, subject to Chongqing University’s travel arrangement policy.
