European Journal of Remote Sensing Special Issue- Call For Papers

Advancing horizons for land cover services entering the big data era

European Journal of Remote Sensing

New Earth Observation frontiers are being formed continuously by the dynamically changing expectations set by contemporary and expected developments in the geo-and bio-sphere as a counterbalance for pressures and demands emerging from a changing climate and the anthroposphere. Environment, Food security, Energy, Health and Security require continuous, reliable and cost effective monitoring of the Earth’s surface and its resources.

In our special issue, we aim to focus on such recent developments in EO. This special issue invites papers presented during the 2nd EARSeL/NASA LULC Workshop in Prague “Advancing horizons for land cover services entering the big data era”. Workshop was jointly organized by the EARSeL SIG LULC and NASA’s LCLUC Science Teams on May 2016, Prague, Czechia. The special issue stresses various topics that reflect the importance of usage and application of Remote Sensing for our planet.
