What kinds of research does BJE publish?

The Baltic Journal of Economics welcomes contributions which have theoretical or empirical emphasis as well as papers that take a political economy approach to research on transnational economies. Papers with policy relevance, or which combine economic theory with empirical findings are particularly welcome.

Of particular interest to the journal is research that is primarily relevant to Baltic or Central European economics. High-quality contributions on other countries are also accepted, so long as the topic is relevant to the Baltic region.

What is the cost of publishing in the journal?

There is no charge to publish your paper gold open access in the Baltic Journal of Economics.

The Article Publishing Charge (APC) for publishing in the Baltic Journal of Economics is paid on behalf of all accepted authors by the Baltic International Centre for Economic Policy Studies (BICEPS). This means that authors can publish in the journal at no cost to themselves.
