The Journal of Psychology: Interdisciplinary and Applied is launching a call for papers for a Special Issue on “The Psychology of Health and Illness.”
Because The Journal of Psychology usually publishes articles on various psychological maladjustments and on issues affecting mental health in positive and aversive manners, we would now like to explore the influence of emotions, cognitions, and lifestyle on the causes, identification, and treatment of bodily illnesses, and on maintaining health and vitality.
The areas that could contribute and have dealt with the topic include, but are not limited to, psychology, medicine, sociology, history, healthcare (both traditional and complimentary), and philosophy.
Please submit your manuscripts, in APA 6th edition style, to the ScholarOne Manuscripts site of The Journal of Psychology: Interdisciplinary and Applied and entitle the manuscript “Special Issue - Title of Your Manuscript.”
Kindly indicate during the submission process that your manuscript is meant to be included in this Special Issue.
The Journal of Psychology receives all manuscript submissions electronically via its ScholarOne Manuscripts site. ScholarOne Manuscripts allows for rapid submission of original and revised manuscripts, as well as facilitating the review process and internal communication between authors, editors and reviewers via a web-based platform. ScholarOne Manuscripts technical support can be accessed here.
The due date for submissions is September 30, 2017, but earlier submissions are encouraged.
We aim to publish the Special Issue in the spring of 2018.
We encourage submission of review articles, but will also consider research papers.
If you have any questions or need more information about this Special Issue, please feel free to write to the Executive Editor, Ami Rokach, Ph.D.
